Ingredients:

For 4 people:

  • 400 g rice
  • 150 g tomato sauce
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 medium bananas
  • 50 g butter
  • salt

Elaboration:

To prepare this recipe for Cuban rice, we heat it in a saucepan with plenty of water and, when it boils, we add the rice, stirring it with a wooden spoon so that it does not cake. Let it cook for 12 or 15 minutes, strain it, pass it through cold water and reserve it in a colander.

In a frying pan, we put oil to heat and, when they are ready, we fry the peeled and cut bananas in two. We drain and reserve.

In the initial casserole we put the butter to heat, once melted, we add the well-drained rice. Season with salt and sauté well.

We fry the eggs one at a time trying to make them look nice.

We place the rice in the center of the plate, serve the tomato sauce on top, on one side the fried eggs, and on the other the bananas.
